IRC contribution

I just wanted to ask if you guys have thougt about distributing the releases over an irc xdcc bot
I personally like this kind of downloading cause there are no waiting times or the "ordinary torrent issues" ^^

xdcc is not that good...

xdcc/dcc can make only 1 connection per user; so you must have a good link connection to the xdcc provider, or you will not be able to push full speed.
Torrent you will do many many many connections and will be able to push full connection, if enough people are seeding. and normally xdcc bots have a connection limit, like 10~50 transfers at once; if more ppl try to download, they will be queued.
And it costs money too =p

Well, I'm not that fan of torrent; but our torrent is quite good. We are always doing a 100mbps initial seed and maybe 1gbps soon (waiting to see if it will be possible or not...).

yeah.... i had a very nice conversation saved from a long time ago, don't even talk to him, he's been trying to get admin status and stuff since the begginning... apparently back then it didn't matter because the bot would've kicked him back down lol,

but still, a very nice little argument with him.....
